I hate AOAs.....I can't even begin to describe my dislike for such intrusive and obstructionist "de-livering".

Fair enuff sniffin, but these are the ugliest buses to roll on our streets anyway and it adds some color to an otherwise all silver fleet which is so devoid of color as they are.
So no AOA shots to emanate from your collection snuffin?

I can understand the desire to graph the vehicle numbers but when all is said and done are you wanting to capture the bus or the ad?
In the 'olden' days.....the odd bus was in AOA and it was memorable - the Borkum Riff was a ripper.
But it seems everything is getting AOA these days. Imagine all the worlies and leopards being seen this way?
I personally for one loved the MTT livery (and Metro that preceeded it) - the green (whatever the shade) with cream/white was very smart and appealing. AOA; the odd bus YES, but every 2nd bus (not to mention all of the bus backs) NO.
Then again, as you allude to GI, these gray things are probably better off having been plastered all over.
They are ghastly IMO

Re: TP Buses in AOA
Well I am a huge fan of anything pre NH, but I do like seeing stuff that is different, although not permanent, the borkum riff buses were rippers, but from memory these were not stickered on, but actually painted like that, the same for the walpamur bus and that red one (which may have been for town & country building society IIRC)
I also liked the non standard stuff seen of some of the o305's when they were new, like citylink, circleroute etc
True the old standard MTT livery looked great and most of the buses were fastidiously maintained to boot, whereas there are a lot of dirty, shitty buses driving around nowadays
When all is said and done, none of the modern stuff excites me, but I will continue to graph it because I have fuck all else to do at lunchtimes and other times when I need to use PT

I hear ya.....I do the same thing. I used to hate the NHs, but personally at least they have some character - more than these OC 500 le things or whatever the purists call them.

To be honest like the ECOBUS, An OC is just as comfortable to drive. Its more driver friendly and all its things that need to be accessed are in appropriate locations.

Re: TP Buses in AOA
There's always 2 sides of the coin though - in this case the driver and the passenger. I've never driven one - and have never had a desire to because they feel horrible from where I've sat and from what they sound like. They seem to launch through their gears at a horribly premature rate and remind me of some of the frustratingly horrible 0405s in the early 90s. Thankfully for me, it is definitely the biggest hindrance to me ever returning to the job...which is a good thing for the masses hahaha but what a shit job anyway, especially nowadays.
It's funny to me how, whenever I've caught a Renault the driver seems to be able to get through the run much more efficiently and less frustratingly, esp for the passengers. And this has nothing to do with accessibility because where there's a will there's always a way.
Anyway, they build them primarily for females to drive these days just as they do trucks. What the fuck is this topic about anyway?

Re: TP Buses in AOA
I saw one of those fifth leg AOA's and they must have been in a real hurry to get these on, so much so on the bus I saw they hadn't even bothered to trim around the rear mercedes badge - they'd just covered straight over the rear engine lid leaving a gaping bulge in the film where the badge was.
